Hvis man ikke så det på hans CV ville man måske nok sige, at han var oppe i årene, og på billeder kan man måske se hans alder, men når man møder ham personligt gør hans personlige udstråling det ganske umuligt at gætte præcist hvor gammel han er. Han er tynd, næsten mager, og hans kondi er ikke helt så god som den har været, men han løber, svømmer og står stadig på ski og synes derudover at arbejde 24 timer i døgnet. Han er meget fokuseret i sit arbejde, på et niveau hvor han kan være temmelig distræt, hvis han er ved at overveje et problem, men han har altid en hjertelig latter og en optimisme, der ikke lader sig slå ud af noget som helst.

Han har haft mange jobs gennem årene men leder for tiden det mere praktisk orienterede forskningshold i G-Techs afdeling for Fusionskraft. Han tilbringer som følge heraf det meste af sin tid i lokalerne på Arsenikvej.
